Those @##$ quote marks.

You will see in the sample attached that I’m using Times New Roman, a serif typeface with (usually) curly quotes. In the passage, for example, the line, “Always the skeptic, eh?” comes out with curly quotes. Below “Tell me about the interviews.” has straight quotes. It compiles that way, too. I went back, looked at the font used in the straight quotes, and it’s TNR. Retyped the straight quotes, and they came out straight. I THINK I used a compile that supposedly converts straights to curlies.

Any ideas?

(A fairly minor problem, since when I compile to Word, I have to go through a set of puchups to get the quote marks right.)
