Tiling window in macOS 15 Sequoia, unexpected results

I can’t get “tile left” or “tile right” to work in Scrivener. I have “Tile by dragging windows to screen edges” OFF, and “Hold ⌥ key while dragging windows to tile” ON. When I depress the Option key and drag to the top of the screen, my Scrivener window will tile the width of the screen (3008 x 1692), but when I drag to the left or right edge, the window will tile with about 5" of space on the other side, not to the left or right half of the screen. This does not give enough space to put another window “next to” the Scrivener window.

I’m not sure if this is intentional or a bug. Easily worked around, of course, so “not a biggie.”

macOS Sequoia 15.0.1
Scrivener 3.3.6

Yup, I can confirm this behavior. Just by dragging. And the wrong size seems to depend on the previous (Scrivener) window size. Weird. If this is intentional, I’m looking forward to the explanation.

Tiling is weird with Scrivener under Sequoia. Snapping to 50%, Scriv takes up 2/3rds of the screen (on my 16" MBP). Suspect some combination of minimum window sizes (defined by the app) and ‘remembered’ sizes…?
