Timeline and corkboard

Don’t shoot me down. I KNOW there have been requests for a timeline in Scrivener and I KNOW KB has explained why he doesn’t think it will work. I can see both sides of the argument, and respect KB’s views (it is, after all, his baby).

But I just happened to stumble across the add-on feature in the screenwriting software Celtx called Plot View. It is basically a corkboard view of index cards (which superficially is reminiscent of Scrivener) that has an associated timeline along the bottom. It says that if you move the boxes in the timeline, the associated index cards will move too.

I appreciate that Celtx’s corkboard is not the same as Scrivener’s. But I wondered if this was the sort of thing the people who asked for a timeline had in mind.
