Fairly new Scrivener user on Windows. Love using it for screenwriting.
I appreciate being able to customize the toolbar. Would love to see a “save” button that can be added to the toolbar customization. I know Ctrl+S does the same thing but I’m so accustomed to just licking the “save” button in my Word toolbar.
You don’t have to do either. Scrivener automatically saves any changes every time you stop writing for a few seconds. There is no need to do like you do in Word.
As Lunk mentions, saving in Scrivener is automatic.
Wanted to be sure you are aware that with Scrivener, “Saving” and “Backup” are completely different things. In case you haven’t already, take a look at section 7.11 “Backing Up Your Work” and Appendix B9 “Backup” and B12 “Saving” in the Scrivener manual. Only a few pages, and understanding how Scrivener handles these things may make the difference between losing a few hours vs. a few months of work if you have a disk or project error.
