Trial Expired (but I bought Scrivener two years ago?)

This is an issue I’m only now confronting, it’s been like this for a few months now and I can’t stand writing on google docs anymore. I bought Scrivener in June of 2017 and it’s worked like a pro until around December of last year. I don’t remember when exactly, only that at some point I tried to log on and was alerted that my trial period had expired and that I must purchase a license to have access to all my previous writings.

I can’t access any of Scrivener at all, effectively freezing all my writings until I buy a new license. I know Scrivener doesn’t delete files, so I’m not mortified, just annoyed. So unless the trial period is over two years long, I’m not sure what to do about it. I could buy the license again, it’s $40 I’ve already paid but I’ll do it if there’s no other way. I doubt I remember my old password or username if such things are required to reactivate my account (it’s been two years and I haven’t been asked to put them in once, so if they’re out there, I don’t know what they are). Worst case scenario, I can buy another account because I have most my writing backed up on other sources. This is just very inconvenient so if anyone knows how to undo this trial expiration that’d be much appreciated.

Thank you!
