Tutorial > What's New In Scrivener 3 collection > Metadata = Mistake

Hi. And thanks for Scrivener and all of your support, L&L & community.

At the end of the Metadata section, above path, it says:

“Okay, on to “Snapshots”.”

But it doesn’t. Go on to Snapshots, that is.

Hope useful and that I’m right…! Maybe I’m just missing something?

Best,

David

If you are just going through the “What’s New” collection then sure, those little segues aren’t going to match the list in the sidebar. If you hit ⌥⌘R to Reveal the “Metadata” section in the binder, you’ll see “Snapshots” is right there where indicated.

A collection is of course a sampling of the binder, a list of files collected from it. The text inside of those items is unaware of that listing—and is well, just text, not a dynamic piece of user interface that can be changed depending on the context.

Thanks much. I was confused but now know more than I did before, so that’s good.

Best,

David
