Hi everyone, I’m a bit of a situation. Long story made as short as possible: Even though I had Scrivener, I wasn’t writing. In the interim, I had deleted Dropbox and went to Google Drive due to large files being deleted by some software glitch. I had had Scrivener sync’d to Dropbox. Few week ago, I decided to write again, so I upgraded to Scrivener 3. But after research I learned that Google One was not reliable to sync with Scrivener. So I downloaded Dropbox free because it comes with 2 gigs of space.
So here’s my problem. The only scrivener file I had saved is a novella and it was only on my iphone and ipad. So I sync’d Scrivener 3 to Dropbox; however, when I opened Scrivern on my iphone, I hit sync (like a dummy) and lost my novella. But it’s STILL resides on my iPad. I just makes sure I don’t hit the sync feature when I open it.
So my question is how do I proceed from here. I’d to have that novella sync to all devices and have it on my desktop computer to.
Sorry for the lengthy explanation, I just wanted to give some context to the situation I am in.
It provides step-by-step instructions for getting Scrivener on your iOS device to sync via Dropbox. It also explains moving your projects from being stored locally on your computer and into that shared Dropbox folder for syncing.
You may find that sending that ZIP to your computer and then extracting the project from the ZIP is the better way to get the syncing issues sorted out.
That would allow you to move the unzipped project into the Dropbox desktop client on your computer and sync it to both mobile devices.
