Unable to open

Hi,
I’ve just purchased a new laptop and tried to open a project on here only to get the following message:

The project at ________ seems to be of an older format, but no binder.scrivproj file could be found inside it. It may be missing or corrupt, possibly because of a problem with the device on which it is stored, or because of a synchronisation problem.

Try ctrl-clicking on the project in the Finder and selecting “Show Package Contents”, then look for a file entitled ‘binder.scrivproj’. Ensure it has not been renamed by a backup routine. If it does not exist, try restoring from a backup.

I’m running version 3.3.6 on both my desktop and the new laptop. Any ideas?

Thanks
Darren

The most common cause of this error is an inappropriate Dropbox setting:

Oh, ok. Well my files are stored in Dropbox. I’ll have a read of your link.
Thanks

Thank you, you are a star. The people on this forum are the best. I wish I was able to give something back, but as you might be aware, I’m not very techy!!!
