Update from 3.0.0.0 to 3.0.1.0 failed!

Hi there,

I was about to update my Scrivener from 3.0.0.0 to 3.0.1.0 but it failed.

I am on Windows 10.

The repro is as follows:

I clicked the button “Download Update”
The download progress finished (100%)
I run the update file
I accepted the condition to install the update.
I click the button “Next”
The installation failed, It says, "There has been an error. Error trying to install file: destination $(installdir) resolved to an empty value. The Application will exit now.

Any solution?

Mine does the same thing.

There are many threads for this in the Technical Support forum. The solution for most people has been to download and install the full version over the top of your existing V3, and make sure Scrivener.exe (or its entire folder) is whitelisted in your antivirus software.
