Hi
I just did the update for Windows Scrivener and my projects are missing…at least I can’t find them anywhere.
Hoping you can help?
They usually show up under ‘recent projects’. I also made a new project since the update and it showed up under ‘documents’ on my computer…but none of the old ones are there (the ones prior to update).
I checked the drives on my computer and also my dropbox…maybe I’m missing something?
The update seems to have cleared your Recent Projects menu, which is normal and nothing to worry about, but it shouldn’t have affected the actual files on your hard disk.
I’d suggest searching for ‘.scriv’ files, which should locate all projects on your system.
Hi Katherine…Thanks for the tip…when I tried that, the only project that came up was the new one I created after the update. That’s what has me so confused. Any ideas?
I spend most of my time on the Mac, so you might want to drop a line to our Windows support team. Be sure to also search any removable drives that you have. Scrivener’s automatic backups can be found by going to the Tools -> Options -> Backups pane, where you’ll find a button to open the backup folder.
Oh! Thanks so much! When I followed that I found a list of my projects!
Now I will figure out how to make them appear on my Scrivner…but at least I see them there!
Very good.
