Upgrade issues - support form won't display any captcha images

I realise I’m very late for the upgrading train, but life has meant my writing has been sporadic, and I hadn’t realised that free/discounted upgrades were still available. I am now looking into it, but have run into an issue.

At some point, I bought a second license as a Christmas gift for a friend, and when I enter my own code, it tells me that an upgraded code has already been generated and emailed, and it displays a part of my friend’s email address. - Yes, it was definitely a second purchase, and her code would have been emailed to her directly, I think? It’s been years, so I can’t remember the fields required at the time, but I wonder if something has somehow gotten mixed up somewhere. In any case, it won’t let me upgrade my own licence. Any ideas?

I am trying to email support, but even with all extensions disabled, the captcha images are all broken, no matter how many times I refresh, so I can’t currently send anything.

Thanks everyone.

The captcha broke and we’re working on getting it replaced. I put a big red banner at the top of the page stating that, is it not showing up for you? I’ll take a look if so. Please use the email addresses below the form, for the time being. I’d disable it, but we would get slammed with spam unfortunately. Right now it’s just kind of amusing watching a wall of bots in the server’s firewall reports, thousands per day, trying to brute force something that doesn’t exist.

Anyway, it sound like something did get mixed up somewhere and your serial can no longer be used for upgrading. The sales address will be the best place to get that sorted out. We can generate a coupon for you manually; just send in your invoice if you have it, or if not that, the serial and email used to purchase it.

Thanks, Amber, I’ll try that. No banner showing for me either, I’m afraid. Completely understandable that you wouldn’t want to turn it off.

Strange! This is what I get when I load the contact page in an incognito tab (to rule out any cookies or the fact that I’m logged in as admin):

Well, it is possible to dismiss such notices (with the X button), so maybe that was done inadvertantly?

That is strange. It isn’t impossible, but you’d think I’d at least register a bid red bar!

What browser are you using? It seems unlikely that there would be an incompatibility with how it is being displayed, but it’s worth checking out.

Currently, Edge, and it’s updated. I could have missed an extension, I suppose.

Well, it shows up there for me as well (at least in Win10, I don’t have access to 11 yet). I suppose it will remain a mystery. Thank for taking the time to check it out though.
