Uploaded PDFs showing "File Not Found"

Hello,

First off – I want to say that Scrivener is an excellent product, which I have found great value in.

Recently, I have noticed a problem concerning uploaded pdfs to a scrivener file. The pdfs initially display correctly.

The issue occurs when I try to re-access the file some time later. When I click on the pdfs, they do not display, giving me a grey screen saying “File Not Found”.

I then have to re-upload all of my the pdfs to the scrivener file is a headache.

For context: I have not moved the original files around, and I am operating Scrivener version 3.4 on macOS.

Is it possible to fix this? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Could you explain exactly what command you are using, please? File → Import, drag and drop, or something else?

Also, is the project stored with Dropbox, iCloud, or any similar service?

I import the files by dragging the pdf directly from a folder onto my scrivener file binder which automatically uploads the document into the project.

The project is stored on directly on my Desktop, with an additional backup to iCloud.
