Whenever I open the tutorial to double-check something, I find all of my other windows re-sized, and my tutorial window usually opens behind another window.
LIke, say I have Explorer open, and am looking at a webpage; when I go to open the tutorial, it makes my screen flash (like, for less than a second), and I find that my webpage window is resized, along with my current project on Scrivener. Also, I then have to dig through the two-or-three window I have open, to get to the tutorial, and (sometimes) move my taskbar, because it happens to be blocking the line used for re-sizeing the window.
Normally this happens when I have Scrivener, Itunes, and a webpage open-also, I’ve moved my taskbar to the top of my screen, so the tutorial almost always opens opens under it. I’ve also had this happen when I’ve just had Scrivener open, and a webpage.
Is this a bug, or is there something that I’m missing?
ah-I almost forgot-I’m on a Gateway, with XP; service pack 3.
Yesterday, I reported on a crash and on a test I made, where I shut Scrivener and reopened it, to find that another window had been opened than the one I was expecting to see.
Both problems were related to Tutorial. I just didn’t notice by then that there was a relation to see.
After the shutdown of the program, it was Tutorial that opened, and also in a completely resized window : the one I had used for Tutorial, the other being at maximum size.
And after one of these two problems, I noticed that my windows explorer settings had changed in the related directories.
I’m sorry, I do not remember which of the two incidents it was, as they did occur shortly after each other.
And I did not report it, as I had some “shaking connection” problems. I mean it would turn on and off, over and over, until I was a bit upset.
I can’t reproduce this either if I want to. It just happens and seems indeed to be related to tutorial rather than to Scrivener.
