What are these: 「」?

They’re one of the options for smart quotes and I think they’d be really good for certain types of digital communication, but I don’t want to use them for all of my quotes and I have no idea what they’re called so I can tell my dictation software to input them. Honestly, I can’t even find them on the character map and searching google or bing for the first one turns up literally no results.

What are these things?

These are the Right and Left Corner Bracket characters. Unicode U+300C and U+300D, respectively. They are part of the box drawing set in the Unicode table, so you might need to select a symbol style font in order to find them in character map. I found them in Segoe UI Symbol.

As to how they are ever used as quotation symbols though, I have no idea! 8)
