I’ve read the Iliad (Lattimore translation - not sure how that compares …) but this is not a Homeric repetition - it’s the only repeated phrase (so far), it occurs mainly to show that Patroclus notices A’s physique and, is I’m pretty sure, an editorial oversight. Anyway, it’s o.k. I edit and can be a real bear about what I see as sloppy work (poorly edited non-fiction is now the norm and it send me nuts: whole paragraphs repeated within a couple of pages etc). Grump, grump,
