What’s happened to Scrivener Styles?

I opened my Scrivener today after a few weeks on holiday — and all the styles had changed! There was no Body Style, no Hanging indent Style; but there were Attribution and Verse styles. And…when I selected a paragraph and marked it as default style; my bulleted list paras didn’t revert to the font I was using (Palatino 12).

What’s happening???

Phil

You shouldn’t miss your Default body Style when you set up your Default Formatting in the Settings > Editing tab.

I don’t think you’ve chosen to remove all Styles manually.

Files containing Style definitions may have not synced completely.

Maybe Google Drive did its magic trick again and renamed .styles files to styles.xml again, making Scrivener unable to find its Styles settings.

Hope this helps

On your profile you specify being a mobile-only user. If so, how are you making styles like this? You would have whatever styles the desktop version creates, available to each individual project, but if you create a new project or switch to one made on iOS, it will just have the stock example styles (Attribution and Verse would be included among these, so that’s a bit of a tell).
