When I try to open old file, I receive a message

I am trying to republish (rebuild) a book I published in 2016. When I try to open the files I believe were the one’s used I get a message. “The project you are trying to load uses an older format. Would you like to update it? A copy of the old project will be saved in the same directory.”

Should I ‘update’?
