Where is the Windows desktop version of Scrivener

I just purchased Scrivener for Windows. After downloading and installing the program it seems to work great with the little icon on the right side to access different editing options as I write. However, I have seen tutorials on YouTube that seem to be running a full desktop version of Scrivener with a screen layout that I don’t recognize. Where do people get that desktop version? I don’t see it on the Scrivener website.

Thanks!

Hi.

Can you take a screenshot, host it somewhere on a cloud and link to it.
To be honest, I have no clue as to what you are seeing.
What could be “the little icon on the right to access different editing options”.
I’m baffled.
. . . . . . . .

Have you tried making the app fullscreen ?

You might be in Corkboard mode.

Click on the left most of the group of three icons, where I have highlighted.

There are so many different views, check the tutorial included with the program. Here are some views.

OK, thanks for your replies! I think I was mixing apples with oranges and got myself all wound up with my brain being tangled up like a ball of yarn. I’m new to Scrivener so it’s a learning process which I feel that I am quickly mastering. So far I love it!!! My confusion (and I know it’s rather dumb of me) was that I also purchased ProWritingAid at the same time and then forgot that the little icon on the right side belongs to ProWritingAid and not to Scrivener. The fact that the ProWritingAid so smoothly blends into the Scrivener interface made it seem as if it was part of Scrivener. Some of the tutorials that I had seen were from ProWritingAid but that didn’t click in my brain as it should have. I now have it all straightened out in my brain. Thanks again!

Ah !
Good that you have it sorted out.

Now, do yourself a favor :

Take the tour. (Scrivener is a complex app. Diving in blindly isn’t so much advised.)

Don’t be shy if you have further questions. …
And welcome to the forum.
