Win Scriv update - Connection Closed

I’m trying to update WinScriv from 1.9.9 to 1.9.12. When I click on download update, I get a message in the update window stating “Connection Closed”. See screenshot. I don’t know why this is happening, and the guys in my IT department are also unsure. Could it possibly be a firewall issue? Maybe it’s related to the Paddle changeover, and if so, how can I resolve the issue?

I’ve sent a message to support, but posting here also in case there’s a quick answer available from the community.
