I’m on Windows. I can’t afford to move to a Mac. I own Scrivener. The last free updates, while always appreciated, aren’t what I want/need.
If I could choose one feature that would make a world of difference to my workflow, it would be the custom meta-data features, like in this video: literatureandlatte.com/video … a-Data.mov
It’s my hope that this is next on the list to get updated. Am I right? Feel free to throw in the free form index cards too, but that would be asking the moon, right?
Are Windows users going to have to wait until Windows Scrivener 2.X?
Assuming we won’t have to, could the Windows developer point to what is on the agenda for the next update?
Thanks for your feedback on how important this feature is to you. We do try to prioritise the schedule according to how much interest there is in the feature, so this is always valuable. Freeform corkboards will almost certainly be a 2.0 thing. I’m not sure where custom meta-data sits, but that is a less complicated feature to add so it might come sooner.
Meanwhile, would keywords work for what you are trying to do? They are very useful for many of the applications that one might think to use custom columns for. There are definitely some things they aren’t as useful for, like timelines.
