I don’t know if this can be called a bug, and you might have covered it before. I just learned to my dismay that entire chapters can be wiped out with an accidental touch of the delete button. Now my problem is, can any of that chapter be recovered?
Please do see the FAQ. Or read the tutorial. Or search the Help file. Or just look in the Trash folder in the binder - you will see that nothing has been wiped out at all (and now breathe a sigh of relief 
). Like I say, this is all covered in all those three places… And it works like most other programmes that have a side-bar, too, so I’m really not sure how I can make it any clearer. Sorry, I’m not having a go at you, it’s just that you are not the first who has asked this question by a long shot.

I feel so much better now…
I ran into this as well. As an interface really ought to be self-explainatory, an idea could be to animate the transfer of the document to the trash can, Newton style
The interface is self-explanatory. Users who don’t read the tutorial or who haven’t ever used iPhoto or other Apple products (which all work exactly the same way in the way deleted objects are moved to a Trash folder) can hardly blame me.
