It sits right next to a pretty common one (⌘I), so the “why” part isn’t that surprising.

It is a per document setting. You’ll have to ⌘-8 (Cmd-8) every misbehaving document.

Although not necessarily one at a time. Those documents are easy to spot in the Binder because of their different default icon (yellow), can all be selected there (⌘-left mouse button) and than it’s just one ⌘8.

Thanks, that also explains why a few of my documents are yellow icons. I’ll give this a go.
