SOme of my many docs in a project have an off white icon next to the title, no word counts at bottom center of the page, and a drop down menu rather than the target in the bottom right corner. I have no idea why! To rid myself of these pages I’ve had to copy and past into a ‘normal’ new page, which has to be made by clicking a normal page/ title also, in order that it doesn’t create another of these ‘other’ pages. What does it all mean?
It sounds like you’ve accidentally enabled scriptwriting mode for those documents.
It has a keyboard shortcut of Cmd+8 on the macOS and Ctrl+8 on the Windows platform. It can also be enabled or disabled using the Format > Scriptwriting > Script Mode - Screenplay command on either version.
