Word count window not coming up (Windows)

The word count/daily target window is no longer popping up in Scrivener when I choose it in the menu. I’ve have this happen before, but I couldn’t tell you how I fixed it if you put a gun to my head.

Please forgive me if this has been addressed before. I’ve searched and found nothing about this.

If you mean project targets, I’ve also noticed recently that it sometimes won’t open on the first click, but will on the second. This usually happens when I call it before having written a word. Don’t know what might be causing this since there have been no updates to the software, but… try and check anyway?

Thanks for responding so quickly. Yes, I do mean the project targets window, thanks. I’ve tried clicking it once, multiple times, adding the button to my main menu, etc. The darned thing just refuses to reappear for me.

You could also try the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + T or add the Target icon to the Toolbar (View > Customize Toolbar and add Project Targets)

Thanks! Both are good ideas, but neither one works, unfortunately.
I had the target icon on my toolbar already… it’s that important to me!

It could be on a different screen when you switched from external monitor back to laptop. Try connecting with External screen(s) again to see if it pops up.

If not, reistall the program, your Projects will not be affected. Save your Preferences first.
