When I compile my manuscript, I have a title page with this code in it: <$Wc100>
My word count for the draft in Scrivener is 9,595 words.
I have the compile settings set to not include front and back matter.
But in the compiled doc (in Word) it says on the title page that the word count is 9,900.
Any ideas what’s going wrong?
