I’m coming back to Scrivener for Mac OSX after a long time away and dimly recall a feature that enforced capitalization for words the user enters in a list, such as proper names of characters. Is this part of Scrivener, and how do I find it?
Do you mean the auto-completion feature? Preferences > Corrections > Auto-Completion > Suggest completions as you type
.
By default it is enabled as In script mode only
. You might want to turn that off.
I don’t think that is a Scrivener feature. Not under windows the least.
But, you could set those names as substitutions in the options/corrections tab :
Just have the single cap version of the Name be substituted for the NAME.
Otherwise, if this is for dialog/script writing, scriptwriting mode capitalizes names in the dialog
element.
