Is it safe to work on the same file in Scrivener for Mac and Scrivener for Windows? Not at the same time, I mean, just wondering if mixing platforms might create a risk of data corruption or something.
Perfectly safe. I do it all the time. A few things aren’t available while editing with the Windows version (multiple Project Notes, custom meta-data, project target deadline calculations), but you don’t have to worry about Scrivener for Windows corrupting any of your writing or the data surrounding it. The transporting of the project from one machine to the other, however, can be a source of difficulties. Just be careful with whatever transfer method you use.
