I have Scrivener installed on my iMac and I love it! I just got a Acer Netbook so I can write on the go away from the distractions of home.
What would be the best way to transfer information back and forth between Open Office writer on the netbook and scrivener on the iMac when I get home? I know that Open Office to Scrivener would be easy, but I’m not sure what to do when I want to look at what I have so far on Scrivener on my Acer netbook.
I attempted a hackintosh on the Acer, but it could not get it to work properly! This is how much I love this program!
How hard did you try to make the hackintosh? In your position (possessing a perfectly good netbook and facing the prospect of running it with a sub-par OS) I don’t think I’d give up on making it a hackintosh very easily…
Is it an Acer Aspire One? Wifi on a Hackintoshed Acer Aspire One doesn’t work unless you replace the internal wifi card. Video out and sleep apparently don’t work either, so I don’t think it’s really that viable a candidate for Hackintoshing, anyway.
If you want to “round trip” your project between Scrivener and another text editor and yet keep the Binder structure intact, you could try my MultiMarkdown suggestion: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6417#p51635
