Writing History: Sessions-only word count?

Any value to a suggestion that the Writing History include a word count for sessions only? Even allowing for multiple sessions per day (not sure how that would appear; perhaps Session 1, Session 2, etc.)?

If a session traverses a day, like I begin writing at 10PM and end at 2AM, that’s two days, yes? And if I start another session at 9PM the next day, any writing I do until 11:59 PM would count towards the Midnight-2AM part of the earlier session. This, to me, gets confusing after a while if I measure my progress by individual sessions.

I know there’s a “reset session count” option but Scrivener ignores the time I have it scheduled. (It resets the session target at midnight, even though I usually have that set for 1 AM or later.)

If any of this makes sense.

I have set new Sections during a Midnight Session to a special Section Type, and searched for that Section Type to get an exact WC for that Session in the Selected Documents tab.

AFAIK, the reset Session function should just work at the given time. When you select the Show pop-up (?) checkbox, you should get an (ugly) reminder of that.

It doesn’t for me. Just this evening it reset at midnight despite my setting it for 3AM.

I just changed it to reset on Project Close. Its “ignoring my set time and resetting at Midnight” goes back a long time; I might have posted about it before (not going to search for it.)
