Any way to change the background behind images in the quick reference panel?

I’ve almost finished up working on a nice overall-dark theme, but there is a part that I can’t figure out how to change. When I put an image in the document bookmarks and size it down in the reference panel, the background is white. Same thing if I double-click it to open a new reference window.

Any idea what CSS I would have to add to change it?

Can I change the background on imported PNGs?

Maybe there is a QSS statement that can resolve this. I have to investigate… Seems it can be changed. It update tonight…

Well, I discovered the “Image Tools popup” when double-clicking an image in the Bookmarks Preview Pane, and I could style it according to my Theme.

And I can change the background color of the normal Bookmarks Preview pane. But as soon as you open an image in that preview pane, the background remains white. In the Default Theme, it appears to be light slate blue, in other Themes it appears pink.

I tried to find that specific control. It could be the “ImageViewer” but that control doesn’t react to any QSS directives.

I guess the ‘not implemented’ state applies to this panel as well as for the Main Editor…

If you try different themes is the background on bookmark images the same or theme dependent?

Interesting, thank you. Sucks that there was supposed to be something to edit it and it wasn’t implemented. Unsure why they don’t just add it in now. It may be possible with QSS, thank you for looking into it for us less-coding-inclined folk.

The Windows developer team is small, and they have other concerns at the moment. I can think of a few other areas that could use some improvements.

That’s fair! I do hope they are still working on scrivener and we get updates here and there.
