Hi, I am trying to create a textbox like the one I see in the Scrivener Manual, say, section 3.1.5, “Software vs Your Work”. It appears in yellow, but I can imagine there should be other colors too?
I’d like to compile in epub.
Thank you!

Note that the manual makes extensive use of LaTeX for this kind of formatting.
Although that would get you down (one of) the right paths for creating design elements in PDF, for ePub you don’t necessarily need to transition to more specialised software once you get to the design phase of things.
You probably will still want some tools beyond Scrivener, to make your life easier, though, as I write about in this thread on making boxes in ePub, in this follow-up post on how I design ebooks.
It follows the same principle as how I work with designs and small edits in LaTeX: once I compile I make refinements to the final copy in dedicated tools for doing so, because that is far faster than recompiling over and over and hoping that a border thickness of 0.08 is really what I want and not 0.075. The important thing is that the right border thickness can be put back into Scrivener at the end of the day, and thus future compiles will incorporate the final design.
I’ll be closing this thread specifically to avoid having multiple conversations about the same topic. If you have further questions on either HTML/CSS or PDF-based design, either on of the two existing threads on this topic is a better place to pick up the discussion.
