As I said earlier, if something in the Chromium code changed, that will sooner or later hit other Chromium based browsers (as Edge).
What I mean is that this is probably way more users than Amber seems to suggest.
It would have to mean all users using chromium based browsers…
Firefox, Safari, everyone still plodding along with old-Edge (before the Chromium engine switch). That’s probably more people than you think, considering the unusually high degree of macOS and iOS users around here, compare to broader purpose sites like the BBC.
I’m sure my point is suitably made though. Even if it is 30/70 or 40/60, there has been a remarkable silence on how bad the avatars look until some people’s browsers changed over night.
I get it.
Got used to something, taken aback by the sudden change.
I suppose it could have been true just the same the other way around.
Who says all would agree?
Anyways, since we’re the only two who voiced their dislike with the change and I fixed it for me (with Stylus), there’re only 50 % complainers left.
There is still two of us.
Yes.
And anyways, the point of this thread wasn’t at any moment to complain about the way it “now” looks, but rather to question the fact that it changed.
Yes, I don’t like how it is “now”, but not complaining so much. (Saying just in case. )
→ I changed my default page, problem solved.
Personally I like the Latest feed better as a default anyway. If I really need to filter by category, the dropdown in the top left is fine.
I don’t even remember why I switched to “Categories” as my default page… I think it is because I found it to be more convenient to navigate the forum or something…
Isn’t that the default view?
Been too long; can’t tell.
