Hello. New MacAir, Installed new version of Scrivener, but fail to print articles or content from Safari into Scrivener on “print to Scrivener” command.
Advice please. Thnx
Please elaborate what „fail“ means: Is there no Print to Scrivener as PDF in the print menu? Do you get an error message? Does simply nothing happen?
One important thing: You must have an opened Scrivener project be able to save to it.
By the way, you picked the wrong category: Your OS is macOS not iOS—at least when “MacAir” means MacBook Air and not iPad Air.
Sincere thanks for your reply. I do appreciate it.
To clarify “fail”. I have the scrivener book open. The content is on Safari. I press ‘print’ and select the ‘print to scrivener’ option. I see a moving bar. But there is nothing in scrivener.
I have found I can “copy” on Safari and “save with format” in Scrivener.
I will check that the correct OS has been loaded.
I used Scrivener on my previous MacBook Pro for years. I’n using a Mac book Air …
Thanks again.
You may not have found anything when searching, because the menu label should be “Save PDF to Scrivener”, rather than “Print to Scrivener” (in English anyway, it might be translated in the print dialogue itself). Here is one very common fix.
If it actually does say “Print to Scrivener”, maybe it is another problem than that. I’m not sure what would be called that.
