Problem: If I copy text in a document that has one font/size and paste it at the end of that same document (new line works best for reproducibility), it will paste in a random font* and size*.
If instead, I copy and “paste and match style” (ctrl+shift+v), it will paste the same style as the rest of the document (that I copied it from). I "ctrl+a"ed and set the font and size, but that didn’t help.
If I copy unformatted text (the text from my browser’s address bar), it will paste currently.
*one of two options for randomness
I did find a related post, but I was nudged because it was 11 months and it wasn’t marked bug (and this happens when copying from anywhere in project).
I’m assuming what’s happening is that when I am typing and copying from another text editor e.g., Notepad, it has its own text, font, and style embedded in it that doesn’t appear. However, when I paste it in Scrivener, the font style that I copied is pasted in. Strange that this bug wasn’t in Scrivener 1 and even the earlier versions of Scrivener 3.
