Vote closed: the L&L Book Club choice for March

To celebrate the first anniversary of our Book Club, how about reading some Jane Austen? Four of her novels were published during her lifetime. Which of these would you most like to read in March? Please cast your vote in our poll:

0 voters

The result will be announced early in February, to allow plenty of time for you to acquire and read the selected title before our discussion in March.

You are very welcome to make suggestions for other books for us to read together — either reply to this message, or send me a PM. We’ll keep a list, and over the months ahead we’ll consider adding such suggestions to future book-choice polls.

When making a book suggestion, please remember that we will be reading books that are in the public domain in the UK and EU, where copyright laws protect work until 70 years after the author’s death.

All the best,
Astrid

Don’t forget to vote for a Jane Austen novel for our Book Club to read in March! Mansfield Park is currently beating Pride and Prejudice, with no takers (yet) for Emma or Sense and Sensibility.

In March, our Book Club will be reading Mansfield Park, by Jane Austen.

To help us choose a book to read in April, please vote in our current poll to let us know the period of literature that most interests you.

This month (February), we are reading Moonfleet by J. Meade Falkner, and you can find our current discussion here.
