I hadn’t really played with themes at all until recently. I tried just playing around with the colors, but there are a lot of things I can’t seem to figure out how to do. I was wondering if there were any tutorials to walk you through it.
Thanks.

I checked out the links, but no - neither is what I’m looking for. I don’t actually like any of the themes I’ve found so far. They just don’t suite me as a writer. The ‘HELP with themes!’ post is more advanced than I can use, as it clearly assumes a level of experience I do not yet have.
Does the book actually have detailed instructions or tutorials for making themes? Or is it going to be advanced, like in the ‘HELP with themes!’ post?
The 500 pages oblong paperback contains a section of 10 pages with a 29 steps list to create Themes on Windows. The first 13 steps work with the Appearance Settings, which can bring the Theme only so far. From there it describes working with the Palette, Stylesheet and Manifest files inside the Scrtheme file. That’s currently the only way to include UI elements like menus and toolbars in the Theme. This will require some understanding of CSS and markup.
Experience you do not yet have, you can acquire, of course.
I actually do have some experience with CSS, so there’s that. Looks like the book is definitely what I need. I’m working on novel number four now, and I’ve written them all in Scrivener. Learning how to use some of the more advanced aspects of the program would be great. So, I’ve ordered a copy of the book.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Appreciated.
