Zotero intergration with Zotero

I use Zotero and this is where I keep my research and library, I am writing a non-fiction novel and want to use APA style referencing!
Any tips on how I can use Zotero with Scrivener 3
In the manual it is mentioned to see the subsection 20.5 stating that for bibliography Management
Scrivener offers simple integration with Zotero, I followed the set up as stated in subsection B.2.7.
It worked but very basically, I am now aware that Zotero is not integrated with Scrivener, so my question is really about how to make adaptions within the binder, and editor to support the creation of a active citation and referencing list when writing and using zotero’s basic functions like copying to the clipboard and pasting into the document.
Can anyone help - it would be most appreciated. Thanks

We also have this thread on using Scrivener with various reference managers.

The Zotero-specific instructions there are located in this comment.

I’ll note, however, that those instructions rely on the plugin that was in Zotero 6. My understanding is that Zotero 7 updates may have broken that workflow, so you may need to check out Zotero’s support resources for updated guidance.

Right, the simpler ODT workflow was broken by Zotero 6, but the BetterBibTex workflow remains a working option for Zotero 7 (though note the instructions there focus on macOS as I don’t use Windows)…

RTF Scan still works on Zotero 7.
